Born and raised in South Africa, Amr came to ad filmmaking through a study of Social Anthropology, and this interest in the patterns of human behavior and cultures plays a vital role in the stories, character performances, and cinematic worlds that he crafts today. His work, from shooting F1 Gran Prix circuits to fashion, VFX, lifestyle, and directing A-listers like Kevin Hart, has garnered critical acclaim and awards in LA, Rome, London and Bali, as well as recognition from SHOTS YDA, the coveted Van Gough Award at the Amsterdam International Film Festival, and a Gold Craft for Directing from the Promax Awards.
