Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Donald Broida began his filmmaking career as a teenager, creating surf videos with his family’s camcorder. Despite the many classes he skipped to film at the beach, he soon after moved to Los Angeles, where he studied at University of Southern California and Cal State Northridge.Donald followed his filmmaking passion into feature film editorial, where he built a successful career with credits such as Jason Moore’s Pitch Perfect, Curtis Hanson’s In Her Shoes, Brett Ratner’s X-Men: The Last Stand, Mark Pellington’s I Melt with You and Howard Gordon’s FX series, Tyrant. Donald has collaborated with ample studios including Universal, Fox, Sony, Disney, Screen Gems, Lakeshore, Gold Circle Films, among others.
